According to an email from Superintendent Friedman, last night's storms caused a power outage at the Middle School this morning. Backup generators have kicked in and have allowed classes to continue for now, but, in an effort to provide optimal conditions for 8th graders to take their Math Regents test today, those students and their teachers are being transported to the High School.
The situation will continue to be monitored, according the the Superintendent, and should early dismissal be needed, another district-wide communication will be sent.
